Focus On The Family

FamilyLife Today™ provides practical, biblical tools to address the issues affecting your family in a format that is conversational in nature. At the core of every program is motivation, encouragement, and help. Your host on the program is Dennis Rainey, who is joined by radio veteran Bob Lepine.

Every Man's Battle

Winning the war on sexual temptaion, one battle at a time.

If there's one word that sums up the essence of Focus on the Family, it is commitment. Using time-tested, Biblical principles and common sense, our founder Dr. James Dobson opened the doors of Focus on the Family with a commitment to helping families worldwide.

Whatever your role in the family – as a mother or father, husband or wife, son or daughter – we're committed to discerning your needs and doing all we can to meet them.

Every Woman's Battle

DOVES, a non-profit domestic violence counseling program (ID #33-0109115), is available now and will continue to be available to assist in any way we can with recovery efforts.

We have been operating a non-profit social services agency in Big Bear since 1985, and in the Rim of the World communities since 1996, and we have experience delivering fire recovery services from the Old Fire in 2003. Thus, we are well prepared to carry out any counseling and/or fire recovery assistance residents may need. We can also assist with referrals for recovery resources, as well as with food and clothing.

Although our Blue Jay Outreach Center is currently closed, counselors in our Big Bear Outreach Center are standing by to help all residents in the lower mountain communities affected by the fires. DOVES' counselors are trained in crisis, trauma and grief counseling, and are available to talk with fire victims either in person or by phone.

Our Outreach number is 909-866-1546, and our 24/7 Crisis Line is 800-851-7601.

Callers needing to talk to someone about their fire-related trauma do not have to be involved in a domestic violence situation in order to avail themselves of these free services.

To our mountain neighbors we say, "Be well, be safe, and know that we are here for you.
